could the Fuel pump be bad ??
LU is right about the TIPM.
A separate fuel pump relay is no longer used. A circuit within the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) is used to control the electric fuel pump located within the fuel pump module. The TIPM (2) is located in the engine compartment in front of the battery.
There is a fuse on the TIPM module itself for the fuel pump. It is M22. I would look to see that it is seated properly. If you are not getting 58 +/- 2 psi at the fuel rail when first cranking the motor over, then its either an electronic connection (doubt that), the fuel pump or the TIPM.

Thanks for all of the responses, Car Gut ,Dodge boy, Pedro Dog, lu229.
I tried what you suggested car Guy, I cycled the key a couple of times
first thing in the morning and have for the last couple of days and it works
fine.
I have pretty much determined with everyone's input that the fuel pump is bad and have found where I can buy one for $337.00 still high but less than the $449.00 that the dealers wants.
I got the original part number from the dealer and googled it and found several places that sell it.
As for the relay I had already switched it with another one and had no difference.
Thanks for all of the input!

what year is your truck...??? You switched relays...????
Did you ever figure out if you were losing fuel pressure as the truck sat? With a pressure gauge? Just wondering. I had this same problem on my 2002. I was losing fuel pressure just sitting in the driveway. Had to change the pump. The pumps they make now days are even crappier. Cheap *** Chinese stuff or something.

HI RAMULAK,
Yes, it loses fuel pressure at the fuel rail after sitting for a while.
I have to cycle the ignition a couple of times, (as CarGuyOhio had suggested)
and it starts and runs fine after that. Which is good because I drive about 110 miles round trip to work every day.
Anyone ever deal with RT partsco factory OEM parts.
They said they have the part and I can get it for about $300.00
And that was using the dodge OEM part number.
Thanks
Jeff
