exhaust recomendations
Hey guys. I bought a 2013 express reg cab and have decided its to quiet. Nice yes but now its to boring for me. I am debating between some options and was wondering what you guys think.
1) first i was thinking about just going with the mopar kit Its like 250 and i can install it my self. I have watched videos of it, sounds nice but i feel like its just a little sound and the video makes it sound loud.
2) i Am also thinking of just going to a muffler shop and getting a magnaflow or borla installed (no flowmaster) just using existing pipes. The only question with that is cut the resonators or not.
3) option three will cost more i know but i rather have it done right the first time and pay a bit more. So i was thinking of doing full exhaust ( but keeping cats, dam california) so running true dual, as in 1 muffler per pipe. also adding x pipe and most likely delete resonators.
I plan on over time adding intake, headers, maybe new coils if the after market are better, and tuner with the exhaust but one step at a time.
What option do you guys think would be better off to do, given the mods that i would like to do as of now.
Thanks for any input.

Leave your truck 100 % stock, your modifications will come back and haunt you down the road when the aftermarket stuff rots out. All the money you whish to invest will buy you a hell of a lot of flue and truth be told, will not net you much in terms of mpg or hp gains.
In my case, I had to redo my dual ex converison several times on my 06 2500 hemi..
If you whish to modify, remove the y pipe, run a two galss pack mufflers ( cherry bombs rock ) and two ex pipes out the right rear (in front of rear tire) or stright out the back over te rear diff, less pipe = less restriction and cherry bombs pretty much are stright pipes.
From a money stand point, if your rig is paid in full, play as you see fit, from a cool facter, you will feel better putting all the modification costs to owning your truck out right, than it makes sense to play!!
I was bitten buy the mod bug on my truck and looking back it was money I just pissed away!!

I would love to do all satinless steel. like i said i would rather do it right the first time.
cyclone. I have added intake exhaust lifts etc.. to my truck before. This is just the first time that i plan on keeping the truck for a long period of time, and i would just like some recommendations since this is the first time i dont want to cheap out and get bad stuff lol. Thanks for the payment advice though.

Do those vortex mufflers really work? do they actually get you better mpg and torque like they say they should. What size did you get and how does it sound? is it raspy and broken sounding like flowmasters or is clean sounding like a performance exhaust at top end?
Did you run true dual? or is there a 2 in 1 out.

Check out boeschbuilt.com, quality craftsmanship, great sound no over kill drone, high grade stainless steel Magnaflow custom matched to stock inlets/outlets. About 45 minutes of your time for install.
I purchased the 18" Magnaflow muffler, absolutely love the sound. 14" muffler has a little more aggressive sound.

I also was looking at gibson's gas exhaust. they are all offered in stainless and sound really good to for a price like a flowmaster would be in aluminum. At least of what i have heard on other trucks. For what ever reason all i could find videos of the gibson on a srt10 ram, older rams, and different vehicals like chevy and ford.
