Default Ignition Node Question

I have a 2009 Ram 1500 V6, and I believe as of today I am the proud owner of a faulty Ignition Node. I went to start my truck at lunch today, the dash flickered a few times then everything just went dark. I tried to turn it back off and pull the key out, and it seemed to be stuck. I eventually got the key out, but i'm still without a working truck. Any way to fix this without being out $400 for a new module and new keys?? Also, I see a recall for this part on 2010 models, but not 2009. Does anyone know if this was a recalled part for 2009 model trucks also? Thanks for your help.

Have you tried your other fob? It may not be the module just your one fob.

Some people have had luck doing a battery disconnect and trying again.

I'm pretty sure the module is toast. If you push the key in all the way it gets stuck, and is very hard to pull out. I tried it with my extra key, and it did the same thing. What's the lease expensive way to make this work again?

Sounds like you`ll have to bite it for a new ignition... no other way around it.
Maybe call chrysler and see if they`ll warranty it for you (???)

I think I may end up having to buy a used one online, at least as a temporary solution. Don't have a couple hundred bills to drop on a new one right now. It looks like there was a recall on the 2010 year, but not on 2009. Guess I should call the dealership just to make sure. Every day i wish I would have kept my 2005, instead of buying this truck. It has been nothing but trouble right from the beginning.
