Default Running new door speaker wires ??? 2012

Just replaced the front door speaker. went smooth and easy enough but plan to put an amp in and run new wires. How the heck do you get the wires thru that accordion wire loom? On the drivers side I can't even find the wires where they enter the cab. Looks like it is behind the parking brake mounting plate?

Been trying to snake some safety wire from the door up thru to the cab but it has such tight bends I can't get it thru?

How have you guys been doing this???

In a modern vehicle, that is not really something you can snake a wire through. Typically the connection at the door will have a couple screws holding it on and you will find a plug there - not a bunch of wires just running through it into the door.

You can pop the rubber cover off and pull the plastic piece out of the metal. The passenger side isn't bad but the driver's side is behind the parking brake assembly and it is a pain to get through there. I cheated and ran my drivers side wire through the grommet above the accordion wire loom.

Yikes ! Didn't even consider it was a "connector".
Maybe I'll go to a salvage yard and pull one of theirs apart and see how it goes together?

depunz, I'm assuming this means you drilled your own hole to pass a new wire thru? This may be the answer but not what I was hoping to do?

Figured with all the stereo guys on here someone would have run new wires or is everyone reusing the factory wires?
