12/12 does NOT run concurrent with a 3/36 factory. It's out...period.
Now, typically a dealer would pick up the phone and make a call for good will IF that situation ever arose where a part went bad a short time after. But it doesn't always happen that way and technically it's OUT and they don't have to.
Service contracts are different. The 12/12 will go beyond the expiration date/mileage.
