Heater problem RAM 2009
Since this morning I don't get any hot air in my car. It makes no difference where I put the switch, the air stays cold. I'm a car-mechanic teacher myself and I haven't looked into it yet, but maybe there's a simple explanation for this problem???

I pulled my radio the other day to take a look at the sub dash....when i was putting the plugs(4x4, ac, temp control, mfs) and cover back on..didn't notice until the next day but the heat didn't work..pulled it back off...took a look everything was plugged in correctly so for the hell of it i unplugged it and plugged it back and in and it was working again. worth a shot...
If your dealer is no help, call chrysler directly.
If they try to charge you since it is a 2009 you may want to check the motors that drive the system. I am not sure which motor controls the temperature but the one I did is for the position of the air exiting, the blend door motor.
Two other motors are in the system, one you can see in the upper left corner of the last few pictures and one in the glove box area. Not sure which is for the temperature control, you'll have to test for that. If it is the motor it is easy enough to replace and not that expensive compared to what the dealer may charge you.
