Manual Trans
Back in the days a long time ago, the manual transmission was a standard option. But with a lot more people that have problem driving a clutch in traffic and the owners that loved their manual transmission are getting older, They wanted to switch to an automatic transmission. Because their legs get tried of pushing the clutch pedal all the time. So about 1980 the manufacturer started making the automatic the standard option and making the manual transmission an option. So if you want a manual transmission, you need to hope the dealer has one in stock or you need to order a vehicle with one.
I know not every one likes a manual transmisson, It some driving situations, Automatics have thier place.
If any one from Ford or Gm, Dodge, Nissan or Toyota is on line, I Own a Truck with A manual transmisson, and until thiers a brand offering me a gas v6 or a gas v8 in a 1500 or 2500 Truck, Im hanging on to my truck as I Hate automatics..
Buy not offering me a choice, your not earning my $$$$ ..
And I more than happy to wind up or roll down my windows..
AS for dodge.. you would not sell me a 1500 with a 6sp man and the hemi...So I factery orderd a 2500 in 2006 with the hemi and 6sp man...
Now late in 2013 your only offering a CTD with A 6sp man.
Hemi is the only engine that meets my needs, so no sale!!!

Love it haha my wife's uncle has a 2010 Ford F150 that was having an issue with shifting rough when towing light loads at 32k and it was a computer issue from what he told me when he would select a towing option, that if not covered by his warranty would've cost roughly $1,600 Clutch replacement on my Dakota at 170k was 750 bucks with a trans mount being manufactured.
Let me say this about older people not driving manuals. My father drove me into the city a lot this summer for my chemo treatments with his 98 S10 4cyl 5spd... The bumper to bumper traffic going in was a little annoying at times but at the age of 68 he much rather drive his little pickup then my moms 2011 Impala.
I will gladly wait a few months if one needs to be ordered, if the option was there. Even if your down payment needs to me for than the regular percentage. I am a little upset with companies not even making the offer. I know I will not be buying a Ram or even a different companies full size in the near future if I can't get a 4 door quad cab with either a V6 or V8 manual transmission. I hate to say it but when my wife gets pregnant and I need the 4 door truck it's going to sadden me to have to go with a Nissan and end up with a 4ft7" bed.
One last thing to wrap this up. I co-signed on my wives 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 4cyl 2wd CVT trans. If you don't drive it in the stick shift mode, it's a dog and you feel like your going to get ran over merging onto a highway. If you drive it in stick shift mode it accelerates a great deal better and gets same mileage. Go figure

Im stuck in bumper to bumpter (bumper ) traffic alot... with my 6sp..I find staying in gear and not u[p shifting or down shifting on the whim of traffic is the best way to go.
Far to manny people are stuck in a cycle of racing ahead to a stoped car and than locking up the brakes, were as I leave a alot of room in front of me and purr slowly ahead in 2nd or 3rd gear..
It can be trying as people see the open space and cut in, but it saves my clutch...
Winter traction with a man is awsome, push in clutch when drive drive wheels lose traction, can't do that in automatic..
Subaru offers awd with a man transmisson, no their not trucks, but if Im forced into the SUV crowd to save wear and tear and flue costs on the hemi, Thats my only option!
