Riding around in the snow tonight noticed that when my traction control or ABS kicked on the my headlights were dimming significantly basically with the brakes engaging. Wondering if anyone has had the same thing and lead to some other problem Battery/Alternator?

 

I guess the first thing I would check is to see if the battery cables need cleaning. Other than that, it sounds like an alternator/battery test would be a good idea. If it is the original 2009 battery, you are reaching the timeframe where it might need to be replaced.

 

My original battery only lasted 3yrs. It did go dead a bunch from just sitting around though...
