Default Cylinder 1 Misfire

I have a 2012 ram 1500 5.7. Living up in MN I'm used to the cold but lately its been out of control in the negative 30's with windchill. The other day I went to start my truck and it threw a p0301 for a cylinder 1 misfire. Just brought it in as its under warranty still at 27k miles. I was told it only misfired once and they could only reproduce it a couple more times so they contacted corporate and were told the fix was to do an update on the computer, as it should only flip a code if it happens 5+ times in 5-10 seconds. I just wanted to check if this sounds normal as I don't want this update to just mute a problem. I always thought any misfires were bad, but I've never run into this. And I wasn't sure if it could very well be an issue because of the cold weather we've had lately.
Thanks,

There was a bad batch of Hemi timing chains out there in 2012. Not a huge amount and mostly Challengers, but there were a few trucks. Your chain may be stretched just a little. The #1 misfire could have been generated from the crank sensor as a result. If it's ONLY #1, that's direction I would be looking in. They also need to be looking at the valve springs as a possibility.

This same thing happened to my 2012 journey r/t and the dealer reprogrammed it. that was almost a year ago and it hasn't done it again. It was misfiring on cylinder # 6.
