no heat question
tuesday no heat in my 2012 ram -19 c for my drive home from work
there is a bullitin for this according to the the dealer
computer lost contact with acuator door
awesome if it had not been under warranty would have cost 1/2 labour
my question is now that it has been done on my truck will it be covered after the warranty is done

From what I have read on the forum some dealers will honor the TSB out of warranty, others have had problems getting the dealer to warranty the fix.
Best bet would be to PM one of the Dodge care people here and ask them.

I assume they reset something to fix the problem rather than changing a part. Dealer warranty is for 12 months for the work they did. If the problem reappears but is caused by something else, they will most likely not cover it. In my case, the dealer did the flash for the actuator voltages per a TSB. After the manufacturer warranty ran out, the actuator itself failed (the part that the flash was supposed to protect), the dealer, nor Chrysler would cover it. This didn't sit well with me - put me on the fence about my next truck over such an easy and inexpensive fix. What upset me, was that they never bothered to inspect the actuator itself to see if the serial number was part of the bad lot, which it was.

I assume it was your acuator door from your post. But...this may sound crazy, do you carry napkins in your jockey box? I went on a trip with my dad in his 2010 powerwagon and we had ice on the inside of the widows. Unhooked the battery tried messing with everything we could think of, well... we got back home and replaced the blower motor, "which the local dealer recommended" still nothing. I pulled the new motor back out and looked up the hole and seen something white, turned out to be a subway napkin, it was blocking the air intake. Who would of thunk it? Took it out and works like a charm.
