felt loose when going in the dirt..went underneath with crowbar when truck was off the ground and found the balljoint with too much play..it shouldn't have any..i have a lot..only on the driverside...I just bought a 7465 ball joint ..will see if its the same as whats on the truck right now..and will post my findings

 

well the 7465 ball joint is too big..will get the 7411 and see what happens

 

I think you need the 7467

 

the 7411 looks like it would fit, but at the bottom where you are supposed to put the ball joint press onto,. theres just not enough room to do it..so I quess im going for the whole control arm..

 

got it done..i was able to used the 7411 ball joint, which is whats called for on an 02-08 dodge ram 1500 2wd lower...I tried to use the ball joint press , but couldn't get the angle right. so I took off the control arm..making sure to mark the alignment bolts the control arm as to avoid an alignment. took it to napa, and they pressed the new one in...fits perfect. ..how this helps others out there.
