Having an issue with my truck downshifting when going from 20% throttle while at highway speeds to 100% throttle. What happens is I could floor it pretty much instantly and instead of going from 5th right to 2nd it will first shift from 5th to i believe 3rd for about a full second, then to 2nd to hit those high rpms and accelerate from there… Not impressed. Currently running SC 3865 without advanced trans tune. Not sure if its simply a TPS sensitivity problem or something deeper.
Any input would be appreciated.

 

Get the advanced trans tuning software. Night and day. Stock shifting sucks.
You'll be able to set your truck to upshift or downshift at any pedal pressure at any speed you desire! Called "partial up/down shifts"
