Default Blower motor replacement

Has anyone replaced the blower motor in a 4th Gen RAM? Just this morning mine decided to get loud and whiny like the bearings in the motor are going bad. The noise is directly related to fan speed, so it must be the blower motor. Is this something that can be done with limited disassembly of the dash or is it something I should have the dealer do?

Thanks,
Rob

I haven't seen these year model truck blower motors, but I pulled mine out of mine because papers from the glove box fell down into it. Mine had like 3 screws and one connector. Your newer truck might be different?

Did it come out from under the dash below the glove box?

Thanks. I'll check mine to see if it is the same.

from the shop manual

The blower motor is located on the passenger side of the vehicle under the instrument panel. The blower motor can be removed from the vehicle without having to remove the HVAC housing assembly.
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. 2. Disconnect the HVAC wire harness lead (3) from the blower motor (2). 3. Remove the three screws (1) that secure the blower motor to the bottom of the HVAC housing (4) and remove the blower motor.

Sounds easy enough. Now I just want to buy the correct part number.

Any hints?

The part number for my vehicle was: Part# 68048903AA

Bend over, they want $146 MSRP for it (that was in Feb 2014). Thankfully I have a source for discounted OEM parts. Even so, if I had to do it again I'd probably check RockAuto or some other source for a better deal.

ETA: The Mopar part is on Amazon for $112.
