Default Turn Signal Trouble

Hey guys, I have a 2009 Ram Sport 5.7 Crew Cab....totally stock.

This morning I got a message that my driver back turn signal bulb was out. The one filament was working but not the turn signal. It will blink quickly when I turn on the signal.

I replaced the bulb, but it is still doing the same thing....the strange thing is when I turn on the emergency four-way flashers the light will blink just fine.

Any ideas? Thanks so much for your help.

Nevermind, I just went to the store and halfway through my drive it started working fine....maybe there was a delay in the computer recognizing it was fixed....or my truck is going nuts.....

katahdin,

I'm sorry the issue wasn't immediately resolved with the new bulb installation. This is not necessarily an uncommon problem, when a defective bulb is detected, the indicator will flash at a faster rate.

In your case, with the installation of a new bulb, it is possible connection issue is present. If you notice the indicator continues to rapidly blink, check in with your servicing Chrysler dealer to be sure all components are working as they should be.

Keep us posted if you can.

Take Care,
