Default Puddle light

Looks like my puddle light on my 2009 dodge ram sport shorted out due to the water issue. I have looked all over for a part number, but it seems like you have to replace the whole mirror is this still true? I am talking about the non-tow mirrors FYI. Thanks

The puddle lamp module pops out and is replaceable. It has its own part number (left & right, I think). About $32/ea.

I know the numbers have been posted here before too.

Oh, you don't have the towing mirrors. I don't know if the modules are the same on those...

Towing and non-towing mirrors have completely different modules and the numbers I found from 3 different dodge forums are for towing. I think I'm going to replace the LEDs with superbrightleds and see how that works out.

You didnt say which side... i`ll bet drivers side...??? (drivers side is most used)
Before you go rippin into it, see if you have voltage at the puddle light.
If not, likely a broken wire(s) within the harness going into the door.
If so, tear into it and put some new lights in there.

Passenger side. I already took the unit out and apart and you can tell it was shorted out by water due to the water marks and burnt circuit. Already got a new LED strips that are weather resistant and will be brighter than before. Plus I will be replacing the blinkers as well since I have it apart.

I bought one off of Ebay. It was around $89 and that was about as cheap as I could find it anywhere. It has the puddle light/blinker light all in one. It pops off and plugs in. Really simple. Here is an auction that has one.
