Yes duso02...i have the horn disabled when lock and unlock. I pull the fuses after i confirm that the mechanics attemp in correcting the issue failed. I have tried shutting off dome light when entering truck, but that didnt work either.

Good luck
I've tried that also...did not stop horn from blowing.

I'm offering this only because the symptoms you're experiencing are related to the interior and this is exactly where I was having trouble - low power to the interior loom and it was causing all sorts of false indicators as to what the issue really was.

I just went through 4 weeks of troubleshooting an issue with my 09 Laramie. No wipers, hvac, door locks, horn, rear windows and lots of warning lights. After looking into it, I purchased and installed a new (re-manufactured) tipm and had it programmed at the dealer. Behaved exactly the same way as my original so I assumed I guessed wrong - and so did the dealer. Long story short - I took it to the dealer and after some time they decided to purchase a second re-manufactured tipm and so far so good. I don't think it's safe to assume all of the re-manufactured tipm's are good if you're dealing with one (you have a 2012 so I'm not sure about this). Yours could be ok but if you're out of options which is where we ended up - it might be worth a second look. I had some crazy behavior prior to taking it to the dealer... things like the emergency flashers turning on when I opened my drivers door - which might have been something meaningful but it sure didn't look right.

I thought of going "back to the drawing board" also when it comes to the tipm and other items that were replaced. I know not to assume that all parts are working perfectly when installed and may be defective before installing them. One possible route i havent taken is replacing door switches. The dealer now thinks that may be the problem. Sound possible?

I honestly don't know. The tipm is a computer controlled power source. Our trucks boot up as much as they start anymore. I would think their Star Scan would be able to see the state of the sensors and modules. If everything is normal in their scans then something is telling the tipm to power up the horn and leave it on. I can't imagine there being any programming telling the horn to stay on with the dome light so possibly the tipm is bad or it's getting a false input from somewhere? The service manager told me the wires in the column were suspect for the issue I was having too. Sorry I can't be more help.

In your opinion would a bad door switch cause the horn to stick on somehow?. Now the tech at the dealer wants to replace them.

Yes, a door ajar switch could cause an alarm trigger maybe but not what you're describing as a solid horn blowing.

unless the door switches are very complicated, I don't see that being the problem at all. Just for kicks I just went out and cracked open my drivers door so that the switch was open. I then used to fob to lock the truck. The alarm was turned on (flashing blue light) and the door locks locked. I then unlocked it with the fob with no horn going off. I did do this with the setting on the evic to not honk the horn when locking. I repeated this with the horn set to honk with lock, same results.

Thanks for the input guys. The door switch replacement by the dealer may be a reach but its about the only part they didnt replace. If i could just figure out what triggers the dome light and the horn. Like i said, just opening the door, or unlocking with key fob makes the horn blow constant till the dome light goes out. But why does it not happen all the time? Would taking it to another dodge dealer maybe stir some interest from new mechanics if the know that a rival dealer ant fix it?...lol

Default Thoughts on matte black decals on true blue pearl

I am putting some decals on my truck and like the matte black decals. Only thing is my truck color is true blue pearl and there might not be enough color contrast to see the decal. What everones thought on matte black on true blue pearl?....maybe matte silver?
