Default Horn sticks on when opening or unlocking door.

Any....i mean ANY ideas why my horn sticks on when i unlock my doors? Been to the dealer 8 times now. After replacing win module, horn switch, and tipm, dealer and chrysler havent figured it out. Im looking for any info. That can lead me in the right direction in getting this issue resolved. Plus my neighbors would like me again!...lol... Thanks

When the horn sticks, what do you do..pull the fuses? When you put them back in, does the horn keep blowing?

Is it a solid "blow" or is it an alarm trigger?

Fuses M22 and M23 under the hood.

Does it happen with both key fobs? One of them could be sending the panic signal??

I know it needs to be fixed, but in the meantime, you do know that you can disable the horn-blow during lock and unlock?

Here is a more detailed description of my problem. The horn blows steady when i either unlock the door with the key fob or just open the door. It doesnt happen all the time though. Thats whats making it tough to resolve. While in between visits to the dealer, i remove the 2 fuses( my neighbors appriciate that) it has nothing to do with alarm. The panic button works right and alarm work normal also. The one thing i noticed is the horn shuts off when the dome ligjt goes out. Somewhere the wiring for the dome light is tied in with the horn.

You got an aftermarket alarm or ignition kill on there?

That's going to be the key right there, because when you hit the unlock button it also triggers the dome lamps to come on. The cluster is the driver for the dome lamps and the steering wheel controls communicate (through the cluster) over the LIN BUS Via the steering control module. I would be looking for signs of wires rubbing/pinching in the steering column or the behind the cluster. The steering control module OR the cluster could also have a temperature sensitive condition on the circuit board.

Yes, like WESIDE said. Do you have ANY aftermarket items installed?

I agree. Most aftermarket alarms/horns do this type of stuff. They suck!

Next to the headlight swich on my 09 there is a roller wheel whitch adjusts console brightness and also adjusts puddle light and interior lights to turn on or off. I would mess with this and see if you get the dome light to not come on. This will fix ur problem short term if ur alarm is being activated by the dome light circuit.
Good luck
