Is there a number in the vin that says the truck has a antislip rear ? Looking at trucks and don't want to buy one without it.

 

You might be able to have a dodge dealer download and print you the build sheet for the dodge truck you`re lookin at.

 

It will also be listed on the right side of the window, sticker under optional equipment....

The ones Ive called so far couldn't find their *** with both hands. Im looking for a used one , called Kernersville dodge and the 3 year old I talked to said used vehicles never have the window sticker

 

PM DodgeCares on this forum. They can look up the build sheet from the VIN. You can probably also determine the axle by a tag on it under the truck, but that's not always easy to get to.

How important is antislip anyway ? I found a beautiful 13 SLT quad that Id love to have but no antislip.

I loved mine this winter. Add a few hundreds pounds of weight, and we've had a good bit of snow this year, and my truck was a tank.

We added BF Goodrich A/T's and without the weight the truck was very bad in the snow, wouldn't go, wouldn't steer, just slid everywhere. But with the weight, it went very good in 2wd. Hardly ever put it in 4wd. Good luck with your choice.

 

If you live in a climate that has no snow or ice and you dont go off-roading, anti-slip dont meen much. I dont have anti-slip and i`ve never had a problem yet, and i even live in the snow-belt area. If you like the truck, buy it. If you think you really have to have an anti-slip, it can always be added later on if you want it.

I didn't realize you were looking at used trucks. In that case, the window sticker won't help. I don't believe Dodge Cares will send you a build sheet unless you're the owner...

The VIN doesn't have a code that will tell options.

Not sure how to tell for certain on a used car unless you put it on a lift and check..

If you want it, try hard to find a truck with it as an option, on the newer Rams, I've read it costs a ton to add it after delivery...
