The reason why I am opting for a CTD or DMax is simply there is no more upgrade afterward. If I buy a ram 2500 with a 5.7 hemi or 2500HD with a 6.0 vortec there is still room for improvement and a lot left to be desired. The new 6.4 hemi is almost as expensive as a diesel. I rode in a diesel truck with a few mods and loved it. The towing capacity and power is superior in a diesel. Like I mentioned before, I'd like to buy a truck install the hitch and be done instead of keep upgrading when I buy a bigger camper again. I want to install the hitch and move on. I was only going to "try" and see if I could do anything with mine. More research and posts confirm my HT 5er is more than the Ram 1500 can chew as it keeps coming full circle. The Ram I own will never handle the camper I have or the next one I shall buy in the future. Going diesel will help alleviate the "can it tow that" question whereas the answer will always be yes.

Boost is like a beautiful woman with an STD...you want to hit them both but are afraid of the consequences.
