Radio Fuse Where?
I was swapping out radios and popped the fuse (I think). I opened the fuse box under the hood and there are 12 bazillion fuses. But I can't seem to find the radio fuse. Where is it? Am I crazy?
Thanks, sorry for the stupid question on a Friday afternoon.

under the do it yourself section, I posted a link to the wiring diagrams location. I just tried it and it opened up fine. Fill in your particulars or your VIN and it will bring up the schematics to your truck. Go to line 47 - Audio and Video. If you can find your way around, it will show you a picture of the location of the fuse.
There are 2 fuses used, one for the radio and one for the amplifier. I traced both signals and only the radio one shows a location.
For the radio:
- Click on item 47 - AUDIO AND VIDEO
- click on 47_001_001 RADIO POWERS, GROUNDS, AND BUS
- select Diagram, a diagram will show up to the right
click on the image of the fuse A933 and you will get a window with 4 selections, 1) Show Component View, 2) Show Diagram of Component, 3)Show Alternate Diagrams and 4) Show Component Location.
- click on show component location
Hopefully this is the one that is blown, if not repeat the process for the 47-001-002 RADIO AMPLIFIER POWERS, GROUNDS, AND BUS. In this case, it shows fuse 71 , 25 Amp but doesn't give a selection for component location other than it shows it as being on CIRCUIT BOARD 5.
To see where CIRCUIT BOARD FIVE is located, when you get to the diagram that shows the fuse on the board, on the lower RH corner, where the words are "CIRCUIT BOARD (NON SERVICABLE) 5" are, click on the words and then you will get the same choices as for the radio. Click on the show component location and you will get a picture of the location.
basically both the fuses for the radio and amp are towards the front of the battery on the drivers side. The radio uses a wire to the fuse where the amp is on the power bar.
Disclaimer, I did this only on the computer since I don't have your truck. I have a '09 1500. Good luck hunting.
