Default One headlight turns off and then on

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 still under warrantee and I've been having an issue with my drivers side headlight turning off from time to time. I took it to the dealership and it worked when they tested it. They said they couldn't fix it because it was working fine. Does anyone have the same issue and know what the problem could be. This time I took a picture of it off and will show it to the dealer.

Is this a daytime running lamp that turns off when the blinker is on?

Hi, I know exactly what you mean. I have a 2011 Ram 1500 and just had this problem last month. It wasn't the daytime light, it was the regular headlight on the drivers side. I spent 3 hours switching out the bulb cause I thought it was burnt out, but within an hour it did it again. I washed the truck before taking it to the dealer and all of a sudden it started working! Of course didn't know what to say there, and haven't had any problems since. Gotta be a wiring thing

Senigma,

I'm sorry to hear about your headlight issue. It's important that you've brought it to your dealers attention so they are aware of what you're experiencing. It is possible a loose connection is present as your light seems to come and go.

Intermittent issues can be frustrating, I would recommend keeping a close eye on it and contact the service dept. if it continues. Be sure to speak to the Service Manager at your dealer if you haven't already.

Keep us posted if you can.

I got it fixed! I went to the dealership and told them the problem and they checked it out and they diagnosed a bad terminal fit for the ground ckt at the headlight connector. They repaired the ground ckt terminal pin fit and now it works fine.

Senigma,

Great!
