Glove Box Ipod Connection
sorry nobby, you've probably left out too many variables to get a credible answer:
which head unit
what type of ipod
firmware version - head unit & ipod
i've not heard of ipods not charging but i have heard that iphones will not. I would update the firmware on both units to start.

It's a common problem with a simple fix. Mopar knows all about it.
The factory connector (on your year of Ram) will not charge the newer Ipods such as the IPod touch 2nd gen and later models. Apple changed the voltage on the later devices. So they will not charge unless you have the Mopar adapter that converts it to the correct voltage. The factory cable will play and charge older model IPods without any special cables.
Go online to one of the many Mopar parts places or to your local dealer and order this part number: 82212001 And it will solve your problem. Cost is about 30 bucks.

Thanks.
