Hi everyone,

Last year, I purchased 2009 dodge ram 1500 ST and does not equipped with RKE module. I went to the junkyard and I found a couple trucks which 2010 and 2012 dodge ram 1500 but I couldn't locate the module.

Anyone know where is the RKE module located?

The main module is the box you insert the key into, that's the receiver. Right under the dash. The other components are the antenna, which is also under the dash, a small box with a cable that extends out along the underside of the dash. The last component is the transmitter or the key. You'll need all three.

Do you know the parts number?

 

I suspect you would still need to reprogram the truck to accept the new hardware, and that is assuming that the SW exists for your truck.

 

I have a 2009 and I cant find the antenna, Ive looked under the dash, behind the glove box and behind the rear seats... any additional specifics on where the antenna is?
