Default Looking for new Tires Suggestions

Looking for some suggestions on new tires.

I have an 09 dodge ram 1500 with a 3 inch lift. I currently have Toyo Open Country M/T 35x12.5x18. I have liked these tires for the most part but when it comes to driving in icy conditions or on gravel roads they aren't so great.

I would like a tire the runs decent on all conditions but mainly for the road (wet/dry/icy) and gravel/dirt trails/roads.

The biggest problem I have found is most tires available are smaller. I would like to stay at 35 and be around 11.5-12.5 wide if possible.

Check out the Cooper STMaxx.

I've been running them in 35x12.5 on my Jeep since last spring, and love them.

Lot of siping, great in the snow and on icy and/or wet roads.

Much better compound now than the original Coopr STT's, and these are wearing nicely.

Not sure on the size below, but they look good on a RAM.

Check out discount tire, put in the size you want and look at the review of the tires that come up.

i just put 35" terra grappler g2s on my truck and took it on a 1600 mile trip to Tennessee from Ft Lauderdale, no complaints, minimal noise, handled great in monsoon rain and mountain roads!

And had them installed $358 per tire out the door!

For you OP, Id suggest the Cooper ST MAXX as said, the STT or the Good Year Duratrac. Could also look into the Fierce Attitude MT.

Thanks for the feedback.

I've been looking into the Toyo Open Country A/T 2 Xtreme. Any thoughts?

Can't go wrong with Cooper. I put the Discover A/T3 on my truck. Just got back from driving from LA to Idaho and back. Did alot of off roading in the snow when I was there with no issues. Through northern Nevada it was -10 degrees with icy roads, these tires handled everything. I could not be more happy with them. My last truck ( 06 Mega Cab ) I had the Nitto Trail Grapplers, they were ok, then the General Grabbers which were pretty good, but I like the Coopers the best.

I'm running Coopers on everything, except my '09 D1500.

But it came with Duratracs on it, and they still have 17/32 of tread, and I like them so far.

The Duratrac's also have sipes, and are good on the ice and snow.

Running Cooper Touring tires on the wifes Vue, and they are awesome in the snow and ice.

I've ran Maxxis Bighorns, and they were great off road, but not so great on slick roads.

And they were noisier than the STT's or the ST Maxx's.

Price on the ST Maxx wasn't bad either, $243 per tire, mounted with new valve stems. (35x12.5-15" tires - last April at Chips Tire in Moab, Utah)

They reused the balance beads from my STT's, so that saved me a few bucks on balancing.
