2014 ram express black edition. Weird button and module not mentioned in owners manual....

Any ideas?

I thought that at first. Im the original owner. Is that what the factory alarm looks like? Maybe valet button?

Does it have a trailer brake controller? Looks like the adjustment for setting one. (little blue button jobby)

Seeing your other post saying it has a 'Max' and a 'Min' I'm 99% sure it's part of the trailer brake controller, which is most likely the other unit mounted under the dash with the button.

Used with trailers that have electric brakes.

Hmm...the build sheet does say trailer gear but its weird its a button....trailer controllers are usually sliders.

If it's the trailer brake controller, then you can just follow the wires to the connector under the steering wheel. The min/max can just be the sensitivity setting. If it's the alarm, the wires will go through the firewall to another unit mounted to the firewall.

I've had both styles. With the button, the longer you hold it, the more the brakes activate.

Ask the guy who sold it to you! Your dealer. They're usually happy to see you back and try to sell you something.
