Default Stereo with nav and BU Cam

I'm looking at installing a new aftermarket stereo in my '09 1500 Big Horn.

Current radio is basic, no U-connect, just AM/FM/SAT/CD/AUX

Searched the Audio section, and the 'Advisor' link only goes to the 2000 year.

So I need some info.

What size DIN is in the '09? Or what size will fit with a new bezel?

I know there are single and double DIN, is there such a thing as a 1 1/2DIN?

I know I'll need the connector to keep the steering wheel controls, and have seen them on line.

I want to have radio, NAV, back up cam, BT, SAT, CD.

Anything I need to watch out for?

Any suggestions on radios?

Where to find install kits?

About all I can think of right now.

Electrical is my achilles heel, hate the stuff. But I can do it, and install costs are crazy. (but I may still go that route)

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

HB

My signature shows the system i have. A local shop is your best bet to buy install parts since you can ask questions. You can buy the radio itself online and shop the best price.

Crutchfield is also a good resource for research.

Agreed as far as finding what will fit your car. But unfortunately they don't show any decent (if any at all) pics of the install kits or what exactly is involved with the install.

Ditto, pics would be great.

Forgot about Crutchfield. Scoshe (sp?) has adapters and stuff also.

Looks like some of the radios will display the android phone on the screen, which is nice.

Everything always seems to be Iphone this and Ipad that for radios.

I've been looking to do the same thing but got scared off when looking at receivers. It seems the market is flooded right now with cheap receivers, all with large touch screens. You just know a receiver that costs $500 less but looks the same is gonna have some issues. I'd be happy with a no-screen 1U radio but it seems anything decent there looks flashy as hell with lights, and *****, and buttons and strobe lights. All I need is a radio dial, bluetooth, and some decent power/connection options to go to a system. Years ago on crutchfield there was a new radio with the vintage look. Analog needle radio dial and all. It was awesome but lacked bluetooth. Anyways, subbed to this to see how it goes. Good luck.

Have you considered upgrading to a factory mygig radio? Install would be plug and play, should fit the bezel with no modifications.
I have the rer radio that has am fm cd nav Sirius and unconnect, it suits my needs
