Yeah, that's the issue. Peanut carts stand tall with high hitches. All but lifted trucks need to use rise ball mounts. My old 3rd gen with 4" of lift didn't even need a drop to hook up to one, a level ball receiver was about right.

Haven't tried to hook up my CTD to a cart, but probably could get away without a rise as it sits damn near as high stock as my 1500 did with the lift.

Still dunno why Andersen would make them shorter than others? Even in your pic looks like it would be awful close used as a rise although the second hole may help.

The two I had give to me (different model EZ) are black (steel) and only have one hole so moving isn't an option


I don't think anybody makes an aluminum rated above 10,000 (Class IV), I do see Andersen makes an EZ with 2 1/2" shank rated at 16,000# when used with 2 5/16" ball (Class V)...

There is a second pin hole that spaces it out farther from the bumper. I like that it sits in tight, but can see that there might be a problem if used as a lift even using the hole that spaces it out another inch or 2.
