Default Battery Saver Mode

I have a 2013 Ram 2500 with a plow. Envelope appeared and message is Battery Saver Mode and no one knows how to clear it or what it means.

Did you leave something on that would drain the battery? Glove box light stuck on?

Post up in the 4th gen ram section, see what folks there have to say.

Welcome to DF!

"Battery Saver Mode" is a sign that the alternator or battery may be malfunctioning. It could also mean there is excessive draw on the battery.
I would unplug your plow harness and see if the problem resolves itself. If not I would contact dealer and have them check battery and alternator.
I know there was a recall issued for the 3.7L's but even guys with V8's and diesels have had problems.

Only time I get that message is when its stupid cold out and the grid is cycling after starting...meaning excessive draw on the batteries.

Default Battery saver mode

I had the battery saver mode error while plowing. Turns out there is a big gaping cut out in the passenger side wheel well right where the alternator is (poor design alternator is fully exposed) and the tire was drowning the electrical connections in salt. Corroded the contacts. Cleaned repaired and fabricating a piece to cover the cutout. Problem solved. Hope this helps anyone with the same issue.
