Default 2013 Ram 1500 Hemi stereo change question

Hi everyone,

I currently have a radio in my car that isn't touchscreen. I'd really like to get a new one that's touch. The person that I brought it to said that it wasn't possible in my truck? Does that make sense sense?

This has been an ongoing question for the 2013 model. One of the mods even posted that each radio is assigned to the specific truck and cannot be changed meaning that if you have the 3.0 RA1 radio, you cannot upgrade to the RA2 or so on. Cannot upgrade nor downgrade with factory systems. There are a few aftermarket out there and I for one have looked at them but all so far that I have seen do not allow the use of the stock SAT radio hook up, would have to have another tuner with antenna.

I too would like the upgraded radio with NAV, CD, SAT and the ability to use the AUX hook ups but at this point, not able.

Hey ramhemi1992,

I would advise against an aftermarket radio because it could void your vehicle’s warranty and could cause future electronic complications.

I don't think it's possible for a stereo to void an engine warranty.

It's correct that it likely wouldn't affect your engine warranty, but it is possible that it could affect the warranty when it comes to certain electrical components. Just want to make sure I give you a heads up
