Does your owners manual offer any guidance on this issue?

Have you checked/verified correct pressures in your tires? The owners manual does mention the system and also that it will come on for a variety of reasons. Are your wheels/tires stock? Any recent work done? Tire rotations or anything like that?

I’d recommend getting the vehicle diagnosed at your local certified FCA dealer. If you need assistance setting up an appointment, please let me know. – Kevin T, Social Connect Team

Hi Randy123,

I checked in the Owner's Manual and here is what I found (Page 212)

I hope this helps!

Your vehicle has also been equipped with a TPMS
malfunction indicator to indicate when the system is not
operating properly. The TPMS malfunction indicator is
combined with the low tire pressure telltale. When the
system detects a malfunction, the telltale will flash for
approximately one minute and then remain continuously
illuminated. This sequence will continue upon subsequent
vehicle start-ups as long as the malfunction exists.
When the malfunction indicator is illuminated, the system
may not be able to detect or signal low tire pressure
as intended. TPMS malfunctions may occur for a variety
of reasons, including the installation of replacement or
alternate tires or wheels on the vehicle that prevent the
TPMS from functioning properly. Always check the
TPMS malfunction telltale after replacing one or more
tires or wheels on your vehicle, to ensure that the
replacement or alternate tires and wheels allow the TPMS
to continue to function properly.

NOTE: The TPMS telltale is also accompanied by a
“Low Tire” message in the odometer (Base Cluster), or in
the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) screen
indicating “Low Tire” for EVIC enabled clusters.

Thanks,
Kathleen

Had the same message about a month ago: Service Tire Pressure Monitoring System and it showed no reading for left front. Took it to my local tire place and he attempted to scan and re-enable the TPMS valve. No luck, so ended up replacing the valve (~$80 if I remember correctly). He said the batteries don't last forever.

I run a summer and winter wheel set, so not sure if TPMS batteries run down faster sitting in storage with nothing to talk to, always searching?

I tend to agree. Nothing but another idiot light. But, I can't stand having an idiot light lit up on my dash. On my truck, the ABS light would never turn off even after replacing lots of parts. Finally just sad f-it and removed the bulb.
