Default Brake controller and tuner questions

2013 Ram Sport, 2-wd, hemi, 6-speed, 3.55 axle.

I need a brake controller to use while pulling my new travel trailer. The trailer dealer told me that the Ram dealer can install a brake controller that works with the truck's computer.

Do any of you have experience with brake controllers?
Is there a better option than the Ram factory controller?
I am open to any advice that you guys can provide.

Also thinking about a tuner.
Do any of you have advice for me?

Thanks.

Your truck is already equipped with the wiring you need, go to your local RV dealer, buy one off the shelf, get a wiring harness for your truck and it is literally plug and play. It took me about 15 minutes to install mine.

Thanks guys.
Now I'll go over to eBay or Amazon or autoanything and order the parts.

An update:
After visiting the Ram dealership, I decided to go with the faction Ram controller. It installs like the Tokensha but the displays (after a factory re-flash) are in the info center on the dash. The factory controller also stores hours/miles on the trailer.
It is substantially more expensive though so it should have added functionality!
