Hi ruben1munoz,

I would recommend visiting your local dealership for further diagnosis. They will be best able to assist you and answer any further questions. Let me know if you would like assistance setting up an appointment!

Default 2013 dodge 1500 wrong key fob message

I have the exact same issue!! Does the key have a chip in it? Tried to get a lock smith to reprogram my key but he was unable to get the codes from the truck. It kept saying communication failure. What could be the problem? Please help.

I had the same problem. I took it to dealer 7 times and they would replace the key each time. They never could figure it out. I bought the extended warranty after my 3 years ran out. I took it in again but they told me the warranty would not cover a key. So after spending another $169 for a key I traded it in. They have a problem with the 2013 chipped key system.

Old thread, but just had the same issue "Wrong Key Fob." Dealership just told me the vehicle needs new batteries (2) and the fob should work just fine. Might want to check that if you run into this issue again. My vehicle is a 2014 RAM 2500 6.7L Cummins, Allison 6-speed, 2WD, Club cab, short box. Great vehicle for pulling my 32-ft. bumper pull travel trailer.
