Default Extended Warranty

I have a 2013 RAM 1500.

Lately I have felt that my truck is cursed.

I have had to have two radios replaced.
I have had to have the ECM module replaced.
I have had to have the heating element in the driver's seat replaced.

Should I purchase the Extended Warranty, sell the truck, or wait and my maintenance costs will go down?

Normally I don't purchase the extended warranty, but I am starting to think that the problems may justify the cost?

Dodge's powertrain warranty, or any of their warranty for that matter, comes with a huge collection of hoops, pictures, forms, phone calls and emails that dealers have to jump through just to get approval to even ORDER the parts. We won't even touch on the backorder issue..lol. It doesn't affect you, EXCEPT for all the WASTED time while your vehicle sits at the dealer waiting.

Many dealers are going with selling aftermarket contracts now to avoid all the bull$hit. Every warranty claim process now is a "GOTCHA" procedure designed to deny claims and skim money from the dealers. FCA is screwing themselves and they don't realize it.

When I was at the dealer, someone was complaining that it did not cover emissions... They were all ticked off.

many dealers would like to sell their own warranty package...one in which the money goes directly to the new or used car dealer and the dealer warranties everything...unfortunately, legal loopholes make this illegal and they are stuck providing warranty packages from these companies that screw the buyer.

There is a limit to rental. Many times the red tape eats up that time.

NOTHING is bumper to bumper, BTW. No such single warranty exists.

Extended warranty pays warranty time, which is usually less than half or even a 3rd of what regular time pays. Your repair order will get bumped to the rear of the pack for better paying jobs that are already in the shop. It's just an unmentioned fact. It's just economics.

If they exclusively sell a particular contract, they have a tone of influence over what outcomes and coverages will be. It's not like a random one where you get hung out to dry.
