Default 2010 Dodge Ram Shuts off when braking

I have an issue when I drive my vehicle and make a sudden stop, my truck shuts off. It'll also shut off when I make a sharp turn.

Hi robdue,

Have you had this concern addressed at your certified Dodge dealership?

Default Truck shuts off when braking or making sharp turn

Do you brake with your left foot instead of releasing the accelerator and braking with your right foot? May sound like a stupid question, but if you brake while your foot is still on the accelerator, it may be that you are still depressing the accelerator enough to cause the engine to detect a fault which will automatically kill the engine. This is easy to do while making a sharp turn also. It could be that your brake pedal sensor that controls this process is defective, I just had to have mine replaced because of this. You might verify this by checking to see if this sensor has reported a fault code which might not show with the light.

Sounds like the Fuel Pickup in the tank is acting up. I had a hotrod that had this issue along time ago.
