Default Transmission won't engage drive or reverse

I have a 2014 Ram 1500 hemi with the dial shifter on the dash. I have had it pop out of gear a few times in the past on me under load and once I switch it to neutral and back to drive it would be fine again. Well it happened again with out any load, I was in somewhat loose sand and it popped out again but now will not re-engage. It seems to be stuck in neutral, it won't go into park and when it is put in drive or reverse it just revs with no movement. I had disconnected the battery to try and reset it but still no luck besides now it will go into park. Every time I would put the truck in park this would show on the dash.

Hi Jmryan87,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to visit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to follow up with them for you if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.

Get it to the dealer and have them check out the problem. If you need to shut the engine off, pull the fuel pump relay or fuse. And have it towed.
