Default motor tick

at 52000 miles my 2014 ram 1500 sport developed a tick when you first start it up. I called a dealership near me and they stated that it was normal for the tick when you start up. I feel that if it was normal it would have been doing this the entire time I owned it. Has anyone else's truck developed this tick and if so what has the dealership told you about it and is it fixable?

It is normal. Google "hemi tick".

are you sure its a tick? reason I ask is there maybe a broken exhaust manifold bolt somewhere leaking. they tend to both sound alike.

I took it to a local mechanic and he thinks it may be inside the motor so I have made an appointment with cross roads in prince George to see what they say

Did you ever solve your switch problem. I did the ignition switch bypass. Worked good for 3 months and now nothing. Power at fuse. Changed fuse and relay in fuse box, replaced heater relay. Wired motor direct and works good. No power at motor plug or blower motor relay. I"m stumped. Any ideas?
