2015 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. Randomly will not start. Acts like a dead battery. When it finally does start, suddenly no acceleration; only an idle (doesn't die). And I limp off to the shoulder and call a tow truck.-Dee

 

The first thing I would suggest is checking battery terminal connections. I my opinion that is one location that can use improvement. For example terminal connectors are made from steel that can corrode and affect the electrical connection and loosen up easily. There are brass and copper connectors available. Do a load check on the battery to make sure it has enough strength to start the vehicle. A local auto parts should be able to do this.

Dealership checked alternator and battery. All working fine. Diagnostics come up blank. He scratches his head too.
