Default 2013 overheating

Temp spiked to 240-250 yesterday for less than 10 minutes. Found to be down a gallon of coolant. Oil looks and smells fine. Noticed brown goop in radiator cap. Assuming bad radiator. Likely my heads warped? Leaning towards no. Any thoughts?

Flush the cooling system, thoroughly..... Twice. Check the system for leaks. That coolant had to go somewhere. Likely the brown goop was 'stop leak', from some previous attempt at a repair.
