Default OEM Mopar vs K&n intake?

So I just picked up my 17 Ram Sport, and I'm going to buy a cold air intake for it. Does anyone have an opinion on the Mopar or K&n intake. I will be buying the functional hood air dam as well. What do you guys think?

I think a CAI is a waste of money. Simply installing a high-flow filter is a cheaper, better, alternative. If you want you hood to be more than a hot air vent for the engine, get the proper plumbing for that.

Does that only hook up to one of the scoops? How hard would it be to plumb it to both??

That may actually be worthwhile, as it really DOES get cold air.......

That sounds like a good plan.

CAI is a waste of money. Your factory air box has the capability to supply your engine with more air than your engine will ever be alble to move. The only way to see any benefits of a CAI is if you make the exhaust less restrictive.

And even then, it will only help in the upper RPM range, and likely not enough to even notice. Spend the money elsewhere.

Well did the intake and hood intake, I already did the exhaust with a Flowmaster outlaw, next will be a tune. At least the hood scoop is functional now.
