Default 2016 Ram Navigation

Today I traded in my 2012 Ram 1500 I bought new almost 6 years ago for a 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn that was optioned out exactly as I wanted with only 12800 miles. The dealer gave me a good deal and I got a lifetime warranty with it also. One thing I didn't notice until I looked at the window sticker now is, it says it is navigation capable and to see the dealer. Does anyone know do I have to pay the dealer to activate it or pay for an upgrade for the Uconnect system?

Um. The dealer could tell you as I’m sure it varies from location to location due to varying labor rates.

You can find varying rates. I've saw it from $300 - $599. I've got several things in the mail from Chrysler to do it for $500. I would consider it for $300, but wouldn't go higher than that before after a year you have to pay for any new map updates.

You can buy a code either from MOPAR or the dealer or 3rd parties selling them also.

https://www.factoryradioparts.com/pr...vation-service <----$305 cheapest i've ever seen.

After you enter the code I'm pretty sure it just download's the GPS software but the actual map might be old, like whenever your radio was built old.
