I just bought a set of rims/tires from a 2016 RAM. Will the tire pressure sensors work with my 2014 RAM? If so, what do I need to do to get the TPMS to detect the new sensors?
FCA dealer or well equipped auto/tire shop can.To do it yourself you'd have to swap out your old sensors into the new wheels if you have access to basic tire changing equipment.
the 2016 will work with 2014's as long as they are both off ram trucks. I read somewhere on a thread here...you may be able to install the sensors...drive the vehicle and after a period of driving they may register themselves.

iirc this is how my dads 09 dakota worked out, no need to see the dealer.
I bought 2015 20' wheels with tires and sensors for my 2011 that had stock 20' wheels/sensors...but the sensors were starting to go, didnt work. Here's what I found out. The 2011 sensor is 433mhz (part 56029398AB) and the 2015 sensor is 315mhz (part 68239720AB), the 2015's cannot be read by my 2011 and the dealer says they cant be programmed. I believe they changed from 433mhz to 315mhz on the 2015's. Hope this helps.

The division was between 2013 and 2014s. 2014+ were different frequency then the <=2013.
