Default High-beam switch does not work

My High beam switch does not turn lights on when pushed, but does when pulled as if i was flashing my headlights. I cannot locate a fuse for the high beams in the fuse box under the hood, So I am wondering Is there a fusebox within the cab of a 2012 ram 1500 sport? or is my switch is just shot.

May just need adjusted. I *think* the switch itself is actually toward the lower end of the steering column, and is actuated by a rod. Have a look up inside there, and see what you see. (may have to remove the knee bolster to see it.)

It appears the 2012 Ram 1500 has a multifunction switch assembly for the turn signals, wipers, and high beams. It's all one unit, no rod for actuation. I'm basing this off of the listing on RockAuto. If that's the case, the fix for your issue is likely to replace the entire multifunction switch (MFS) assembly. You may be able to open the existing MFS and clean, then relubricate, the contacts to get a few more years out of it, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a new MFS ready to go in case you're not lucky enough to be able to repair the one currently in the truck.

The image from RockAuto of the 2012 MFS looks very similar to the MFS for the 2014. According to Alldata for the 2014 model year, the labor to change the MFS is 0.3 of an hour so it should be pretty easy to swap out.
