Default Engine knock on start up

I have a 2016 Dodge 2500 Ram 4x4 with the 6.4 Hemi engine. Some times after truck has set over night it has what sounds like the lifter and or valve train are knocking. the engine has around 13,000 mile and has always had the engine oil changed by my local Dodge dealer. I would like to know is this something normal or should I take it to the dealer service department.

Hi Carol1,

If you end up deciding to visit a certified dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to offer assistance if needed. Just send us a PM with your VIN and let me know!

I would definitely take it in, and have it looked at. A NEW motor should NOT do that.

Just because you had the oil changes done at dealer DOES NOT MEAN ITS PERFECT... Had my oil changed yesterday at Richardson Dodge in Richardson, Texas... NOW TODAY ITS LEAKING OIL!!! WAY TOO MUCH TO BE COMFORTABLE WITH. Appt at another dealership in the morning. This should be Fun....
