Default Door Locks

I do not have a key fob for my car and I have to lock them manually from the inside or use my key from the outside.

When I lock the door from the inside, my dog will step on the panel and open up the locks. Is there anyway I can stop this from happening. I'm worried someone will take her if they see the lock is open.

Without doing some rewiring or adding a switch to remove power from the power lock buttons, I think you're out of luck. The good new is, depending maybe on what year your Ram is, the switch panel is easy to remove so it could be pretty easy to install a switch to kill the power to the power locks. It would likely set a diagnostic code in the driver's door module though, but that won't trigger the Check Engine Light.

Could disable the power locks AFTER the switch, its just two wires going to the actuator. Put a switch, or relay, in either wire, and the it won't do the power lock thing.
