have a 2010 2500 with a 5.7 hemi.39000 miles.just last week started to just shut off anytime it wants to. just like you turned the ignition off. any ideas? mechanic has checked for codes, no codes, fuel pressure stays at full pressure when it shuts off. no idea when it will do it. very unerving to say the least. thanks.

 

When it shuts off does the dash light up like if you turn the key / push the button to the Run position before starting immediately, or is there a delay like maybe there was an intermittent power outage?

yes the lights stay on as if the key is in the run position.just did it 5 minutes ago. am not gonna drive this until it's fixed. can't tell when it's gonna happen.

 

Does it have an ignition key or is it the push button start? If ignition key, try wiggling the key with the truck running to see if you can reliably duplicate the stalling that way. The next thing I'd check would be the crankshaft position sensor.
