mirror lights

Default mirror lights
On my 2012 Ram 1500 I have heated mirrors that are turned on by the rear defrost button, but the image on the mirrors does not light up. I was wondering if the image on the mirror is supposed to light up?

If you mean the little heated mirror symbol on the mirror no.

The symbol on the mirror is just etched in to the glass, similar to the "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" text.
