Question Power Folding Mirror Issue???

The power folding mirror on the passenger side does not fold completely. I hit the button and the mirror only moves about 10 degrees and then stops. If I hit the button again it moves to the full open position. The driver's side works correctly. Any ideas on where I can start troubleshooting to get the passenger mirror working?

I have aftermarket power folding tow mirrors, so I'm not sure this will apply to your mirrors. There have been a couple of times where I tried to use the power fold feature and the mirrors were frozen. That seemed to throw off the passenger side mirror after it thawed to where it would fold fully, but not unfold fully. What I found to work for me is to then manually fold the mirror in (by hand) and cycle the power fold switch. This has worked for me the two times I've tried it.

After thinking about it, the passenger mirror did have ice on it, when I pulled it into the garage. It had been sitting in the heated garage for a couple of hours, but it must have had ice in it still when I attempted to fold them in. Your method did work. I manually cycled the mirrors back and forth a few times and used the button when they were full open. They both work correctly.
Thanks for the assistance.

if the mirror are moved manually, it may take several open/close cycles for them to sync back to normal

I'm glad to hear they are working properly again. Thank you for the follow-up.
