Default 2015 Ram 1500 3" leveling lift kit

I was wondering if anyone knows of any issues with these after installing. I bought my set, and now after reading some reviews, i am skeptical about installing it. I was told there are issues with ball joints failing because of it, and a friend told me I shouldn't have bought higher than 2". But I have been reading issues about 2" also. Ugh. He told me about this Dodge forum and suggested I sign up to learn more. Any thoughts or experiences on this matter? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, with IFS (independent front suspension) lifting gets a LOT more involved. Bumping it up 3" with just spacers, puts the upper ball joints very close to their limit. Also tends to make the ride rather harsh, as you just removed a lot of suspension travel as well.

Unfortunately, doing it 'right' on an IFS truck is EXPENSIVE. a good 3 inch or larger kit, is going to be north of 1200 bucks...... That's why you see a lot of guys with the older trucks doing a solid axle conversion. Not something I would recommend on a truck as new as yours, that likely still has some warranty left.
