Default 1500 RAM 12v battery

I have always put a marine/RV group 27 battery in my RAM vans, but now I have a '14 1500 and I want a new battery. I cannot find one with posts in the correct position for installing in the RAM. Costco marine/RV batteries are all backwards from what I need. ANybody got any recommendations they know will work?

Just buy a standard battery, You wont need a Deep cycle that most marine/RV ones are, your just paying alot more for it. If your running your battery low that often, then Id suspect you'd have starting issues if its to low.

Often times marine batteries are not rated for the frequent current draw required by a truck's starter. They like more of a continuous drain such as from a trolling motor or an inverter. Boat motors don't typically draw as much current starting as an automotive engine.

What my Dad did was just add a marine battery to run all the accessories' for the camper on the truck, and kept the start battery seperate for starting only. Just used a boat battery switch in case the start battery was dead. Had it set up to charge both batteries while the engine was running.

That may have made sense for the van and any installed power accessories but not for this truck. Get the correct form AGM battery.
