Im trying to figure out what is causing these codes and how to fix. Haven't had any luck searching the web besides mixed answers on what the code is. Code scanner said P1524 oil pressure out of range and P0325 did not sense a circuit. Anyone on here know? It's on a 09 ram 1500 5.7. Thanks!

 

I changed the oil. Oil pressure is now 52psi cold, 45psi +/- driving, and 26-27 warm idle. Mds kicked in once, but since then the code popped back up and mds hasn't kicked in since. Could it just be a bad sensor? Has anyone else had these codes pop up? Truck runs fine, no miss fires as far as I can tell. Just changed plugs, air filter, oil. No ticking sounds. Old plugs looked to have normal wear, no oil or burnt electrodes. Ive had this truck 3 weeks btw, the 5.7 with all this electronic stuff is new to me. I'm used to the 5.9 Magnum.

 

P1524:PCM wants oil pressure to be right around 42 PSI for VCT to work, and pressure can't drop below 31 PSI...... which yours apparently does... Not sure just what the remedy would be.

P0325: Knock sensor circuit malfunction. Did it get unplugged when the OPS was changed?

 

Well it seems to have worked its self out now, check engine light went off after getting gas. An oil change and better gas is what it wanted I suppose. Thanks for the help!

 

P0325 code came back up. Come to find out the knock sensor wasn't even plugged up.
